Hi all,
A few items to keep track of with Camp Rodney:
- EVERYONE who attends camp, scout or adult, needs a Medical A/B/C form filled out, including a doctor's signature. You can use last year's form if it was dated 6/1/2025 or later, otherwise you will need a new form. If you don't yet have your form or an appointment scheduled, please get that scheduled right now. The form is available here: https://filestore.scouting.org/filestore/HealthSafety/pdf/680-001_ABC.pdf
- Scouts are encouraged to bring a bike to Rodney. Everyone should have a helmet, and a light on the front end and the back of the bike. Please take a minute to check that your bike is in good working order, that the lights are working, and that you helmet still fits. You will need to sign a bike agreement, and make sure to bring it to camp.
- If you have any food restrictions or allergies, you should notify the camp in advance. Last year they published a menu for the week with the allergens in each meal, hopefully they do that this year. Personally I think Rodney has done great with food allergies last year, and I don't think we've had any problems when scouts were being careful and thorough. If you do have an allergy or restriction, please fill out this form soon http://www.delmarvacouncil.org/document/rsr-special-dietary-needs-form/138015 and send it to them at rsrfoodservice@dmvc.org and and rsrfoodservice@gmail.com. I recommend any scout with allergies print it out and carry it with their epipen at all times so they can use it as a constant reference.
