Eagle Scout Ambition of Life Statement

- Introduction -

When a conversation shifts to the topic of Scouting, and I'm asked, "What do you do in Boy Scouts?", I often find myself unsure of how to respond. Over my 7 years in Scouting, I've faced countless obstacles, challenges, and unexpected situations. Whether it was waking up at midnight to find my tent half-submerged or trying to get newer scouts excited about first aid lessons, I was constantly learning valuable life skills. My time in Scouts can't be summed up in a single word; it has profoundly shaped who I am today.

- Short-term Goals -

My goals for the near future mainly involve school. Right now, l'm tackling college applications, which are incredibly time-consuming, but I'm determined to complete them thoroughly and on time. I also want to improve my academic performance this year. My current curriculum requires me to take all IB courses, which posed a significant challenge for me last year. However, my growth in Scouts has strengthened my work ethic, and as I continue to apply myself in my classes, I hope to finish my senior year with a high GPA. Additionally, after I turn 18, I plan to help my friends in our troop with their Eagle Projects and binders, hoping they can learn from my mishaps.

- Long-term Goals -

Looking further ahead, I hope to attend a good college and pursue my passion for robotics. My goal is to earn a master's degree in electrical or mechatronics/robotics engineering to equip myself with a wide range of skills to explore my interests in 3D printing and additive manufacturing. I aspire to make 3D printing technologies faster, more accessible, and cost-effective. Beyond professional aspirations, I also have a few personal goals: 'd love to own a 1976 Stingray, a Porsche 993, and a cabin in an area with low light pollution so i can enjoy stargazing.

- Life Purpose -

Ultimately, I believe my purpose in life is to use my skills and experience to help others. I hope to contribute to technological advancements that improve lives. While I can't say exactly who I'll be in 20 years, what i'll be passionate about, or whether i'll achieve all my goals, I do know that I'll strive to live by the values of the Scout Law.
